Going Over the Edge for Special Olympics NC

No, not me.

Funny.  I realize the irony of the title of this post and its contents considering my last entry.  Actually, this one is in recognition for a friend and former colleague at Media Two Interactive, Dave Dekker, for “taking one for the team” so to speak.

Media Two is an avid supporter of Special Olympics of North Carolina having designed its brand spanking new website among other things.  Dave played an integral role in the design so it was only fitting that he be the one to jump…I mean rappel…off the Wachovia building in Downtown Raleigh on behalf of Special Olympics of North Carolina’s fundraiser, Over the Edge.

For Over the Edge, the public is invited to also take part if each individual raises $1,000 for the challenge.  According to Raleigh’s CBS affiliate, WRAL (where one of their own, Ken Smith, also participated yesterday) 83 daring individuals will take the plunge during today’s annual event.

I was there yesterday when sponsors and media could brave the heights…and the wind…all for a good cause.  Below is my video of Dave’s adventure.
